Sunlight, Heat and Moisture

Please note that wooden product is likely to fade if left in direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
Double or triple glazed windows are able to slow the rate of damage caused by UV light, but we suggest keeping susceptible items away from direct sunlight.

The clock mechanism lifetime would be reduced if placed near heat sources or when exposed to moisture so avoid putting the clock near the kitchen or inside your bathroom.

All the clocks are designed to be placed inside the building with a room temperature and are not weather resistant. If the temperature or humidity in the room is changing a lot it can weaken the wood and cause splits.

Product Pricing, Images and Description

All prices published are in GBP by default but we are also working on accepting payments in USD, EUR, AUD, CHF depending on the region. The conversion rate will be automatic and may vary daily. The customer is responsible to pay any import tax when purchasing from outside UK. All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery.

Each product purchased is sold subject to its Product Description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system.

The images shown on-line are for illustration purposes only. Each clock would have its distinct features due to handmade nature of the work with the general design as displayed on the pictures. We sell Handmade product and  not any two products are identical and the natural processing of these products are made to show an ageing process and adds to character.

Stock availability

Each clock can be either “in stock” (5-10 business days to dispatch it),  “available on backorder” (depending on the current workload it may take 20-30 business days to make and dispatch it) or “out of stock”. Please contact us for estimate dispatch time before making an order on items that aren’t “in stock”.

Delivery

At the moment Peak Art can deliver to the following countries split in 3 different regions:

Region 1 (UK & Ireland)

Region 2 (EMEA)

Region 3 (AMERICAS + APAC)

The weight depends on the clocks size and design and is in the following ranges:

  • 75 cm Clocks –   6-8 kg
  • 100 cm Clocks – 8-12 kg
  • 120 cm clocks – 12-18 kg

Skeleton Clocks are at the low end of those ranges while the Clocks with full back are heavier.

Note: Occasionally we offer Free or reduced delivery rates.

Returns & Complaints & Warranty

If you are unhappy with your clock, returns are accepted if you contact us within 5 days of receiving your clock. The clock must be received within 30 days in original packaging. You will receive a refund minus shipping minus 10% handling fee for reprocessing, unpacking and re-advertising.

Note: The clocks with custom engraving can’t be returned.

If your mechanism is not working we do not send an entirely new clock but only the new mechanism.

Please be careful when installing the hands as per instructions provided because the 1 year mechanism warranty does not cover physical damage due to misuse. We would need to receive original mechanism to send it back to manufacturer for inspection. If the mechanism is faulty we would send you the replacement and refund any charges you incurred to post it to us.

All of our wood is sourced from carefully chosen and highly respected suppliers who share our commitment to quality and durability. Consequently, every one of our handmade clocks is endorsed by a Product Guarantee covering the structural integrity of the clock for 3 years. This guarantee excludes issues arising as a result of normal wear and tear, improper care or accidental damage.

Deposits & Cancellations

If you order an item on the backorder we may agree on the initial deposit instead of full price. Once your order is ready we expect to receive the full payment. If you change your mind and no longer wish to proceed with the purchase we reserve the right to deduct up to 25% of the final purchase price from your deposit.

For example you may request an item listed at £500 and pay a deposit of £250 and then once the order is processed you ask to cancel it. We would deduct 25% (£125) from your deposit and refund the rest to cover the cost of materials, time and re-processing.

If you cancel the order for items that are in stock you will receive full refund as long as we haven’t shipped it yet in which case look at the Returns section.
